When interviwed about working with Spike, muppeteer Jerry Nelson said, "Spike Milligan was there for a day and a half, because we didn't get through all of his stuff in a day, I think I laughed the whole time. My stomach ached after he was gone. A day and a half of laughing constantly."

In honor of the fact that The Muppet Show is broadcast in 108 countries, Kermit plans an "international extravaganza," including people from each of those nations. Unfortunately, the various people don't necessarily get along, although everyone seems to understand the Swedish Chef telling a joke. At the end, everyone gets together for the Parade of Nations, singing "It's A Small World.

Memorable moments: In a Japan-themed number, Fozzie tries to sing "Oklahoma, but the monster samurai dancers turn it into "Yokahama." Sam is shocked when Spike drops his trousers, revealing boxer shorts with the British flag on them. A Scottish bagpiper plays "Brazil."

Scooter: "I got trouble up here, boss - the Eskimos and the Arabs are sharing a dressing room.., the Arabs want it hotter, and the Eskimos want to turn on the air conditioner!"
Kermit: "I have an introduction to make - try to get them to compromise!
Scooter: "Oh, they have compromised ... Eskimos turned on the air conditioner, and the Arabs set it on fire!"

N.B.: Yup, by the middle of their third year, The Muppet Show was already being sent to 108 countries. Unbelievable, isn't it?

Statler and Waldorfs closing comments:
"It's A Small World" continues during end credits. Statler and Waldorf sing/move along.
