A TV compilation of ten years of humorous material published in the famous satire magazine Private Eye. Familiar faces from the world of TV satire interpreted the written word for the small-screen.
Note. The publication's 30th anniversary was marked by an edition of the LWT/ITV arts series The South Bank Show on 15 September 1991, in which John Wells read from Dear Bill and other contributors included Peter Cook, Barry Humphries, Auberon Waugh, Paul Foot, Richard Ingrams and Ian Hislop.
