After a 1977 special, Marti Caine graduated to her own BBC series. Her style, moving towards a less broad and more sophisticated comedy, was reflected by the fact that the series appeared on BBC2. Comedy guests included Mike Harding, Spike Milligan, Alfred Marks, Barry Took, Barry Cryer and Tom O'Connor.
