About John Claridge
Born August 15, 1944 in the East End of London.
From the age of 15 to 17 worked for advertising agency in London in the Photographic Department.
Met and worked with designer Robert Brownjohn.
Had first one-man show at the age of 17.
Between the age of 17 and 19 he was assistant to American photographer, David Montgomery.
At the age of 19 opened own studio in the City of London.
Has since worked for most leading advertising agencies and clients worldwide.
His work has been exhibited worldwide and he has been presented with over 700 awards for photography, both editorial and commercial.
Work held in museums and private collections worldwide.
Has published four books: "South American Portfolio" (1982), "One Hundred Photographs" (1987), "Seven Days in Havana" (1999) and "8 Hours" (2001).
